In addition, enablers such as academia, multinational corporations, and specific robotic integrations that represent robotic companies have been included in the mapping.
The mapping only includes traditional robotics companies with both hardware and software for controlling it. Companies dealing with automation, software, and sensors for robotics, as well as software for robotics and drones that do not offer complementary robotic products, were excluded from the mapping.
Israel has established itself as a major player in various fields of robotics. In healthcare, Israeli start-ups have developed robots for accurate robotic surgeries and exoskeletons to assist people with walking disabilities. In the consumer sector, Israeli companies have developed robots for cleaning swimming pools, education, cleaning, gardening, and humanoids. In logistics, there are robots for automated storage and retrieval, while in industrial manufacturing, there are automated production lines. In agriculture, there are robotic mechanisms for irrigation, agricultural machinery for field work, sorting, and packaging.

The mapping shows that the number of Israeli robotics start-ups has tripled since 2019, with about 50% of them involved in industry and healthcare. Today, Israel is considered one of the leading players in the robotics industry worldwide.
