The intelligent robotics revolution can't skip over Israel

The field of robotics is a complex field that touches every aspect of life – home, work, shopping centers, education, health, transportation and more, and affects economic efficiency and quality of life. Smart Robotics (Smart Robotics/Intelligent) is the combination of the physical-mechanical together with intelligent systems, capable of learning on the go and while in the process, continue to develop. The technological progress combines artificial intelligence (AI) with advanced capabilities, such as computer vision, collecting and processing a lot of information from advanced sensors and learning algorithms, which together make it possible to create a personalized fit for the user.

We are at a turning point of significant expansion in the use of smart robots, both in the variety of activities and in their level of capabilities. The accepted assessment is that the robotics revolution will affect our lives for decades to come. The integrated systems of intelligent robots that work independently, or together with humans, will penetrate all areas of our lives: autonomous vehicles, industry (including production and control), various uses at home, medicine and nursing, agriculture, logistics and distribution, education, entertainment and sports, shops and shoppings centers, restaurants and hotels, airports, army and police and more.

Understanding and navigation at a changing environment

Intelligent robots include both the physical embodiment, which serves as the body, and the brain that controls the body. The impressive developments in the field of artificial intelligence, which increasingly simulates human capabilities, allow the robot to learn and adapt to the various changes. The main characteristics of an intelligent robot are:

  • High autonomous ability to move in a dynamic and changing environment – the robot is able to operate independently with the person (in many cases through voice) and with the environment;
  • High adaptability to changes – with the help of fast communication with people or with other devices and objects;
  • Ability to analyze mass information – the robot is able to combine previous information with information received in real time, during the operation (BIG DATA). This means that processes can be predicted and decisions made without human involvement;
  • The ability to recognize people, the human behavior and also to recognize the environment in which they are. The advanced technologies and sensors can give a comprehensive state picture, including mental and physical state.
